**Not only does this beautiful big bookstore have a wide selection of books, you can also enjoy a cup of coffee here. **

At the Old Canal (de Oudegracht), there is a bookstore called Broese. With several floors filled with books, there is something for everyone: a children’s section, magazines, books about spirituality, games and more. If you are looking for an original gift for someone, you are definitely likely to find it here.

Although most books are in Dutch, they do have a section with English, Spanish, German and French books.

The best part about this store is that on the first floor it has a café. Sit down at one of the chairs in front of the window, and enjoy a cup of coffee with a piece of cake while you look down on the Old Canal.
