**Learn about architecture at the ARCAM. **
ARCAM is the architecture centre of Amsterdam where programmes about architecture and urban development are organised. It is located in a very unique-looking building, a small, blackc aluminium pavillion designed by architect René van Zuuk.
The foundation was established in 1986 as an information centre for the new and old architecture of Amsterdam. They have exhibitions, debates, and research projects that are accessible to the public, with the goal to get people involved in the development of the city and its architecture.
ARCAM organises five different exhibitions each year, focused on the new developments in architecture in the Netherlands as well as abroad, and on the history of Amsterdam architecture. The ARCAM panorama shows an overview of the city architecture throughout last 1200 years, from the landscape to the way the city is today.
