**They’re so cute! Meet the alpacas, give your new fluffy friends some pets and cuddles if they really like you. Nibble on picnic food, doughnuts and more at an alpaca picnic. **

• Only a short ways away from the city centre of Workum rests a wholesome and fluffy paradise. Recharge your batteries and relax among your new alpaca companions! You’ve got a choice of options here, but all include the Meet & Greet intro chat all about the alpacas. From there, you can book added extras like a picnic or snacks with tea.
• Meet the alpacas! On arrival, you’ll be given an introduction talk about everything alpaca. Learn a bit about the animals and get an introduction to the alpacas themselves. After that, they’ll give you a cup of alpaca food to draw your new friends in so you can meet up close. Book in advance as places fill up fast!
• Alpaca World Friesland is kid friendly. Alpacas tend to be calmer and less likely to spit than llamas, so you probably won’t have any trouble. If they like your offering of food, you can pet the alpacas and sometimes they like a hug. But they have been known to kick sometimes if they get annoyed, so don’t be pushy! Wear good shoes and not open sandals, because these fluffy animals will have no problem stepping on some toes.
• Drop by at Christmas for an alpaca-packed winter wonderland! Sip some hot chocolate and craft alpacas from the wool. You don’t have to prebook a Meet & Greet to come by though they are available, entrance fee is 3.50€ Open from the 10th December to 6th January.
