Welcome to the Jungle! Meet exotic animals and spectacular plants in a greenhouse. A perfect day out for the family!

  • Mammals, birds, reptiles, oh my! The animal park hosts a wide variety of critters in their natural habitats. Did you know? The jungle zoo originally started as a shelter for exotic animals, with 90% of its inhabitants dumped directly at the zoo or elsewhere. Almere Jungle has opened its arms and doors to hundreds of animals! Witness a tiger python from Asia, pink cockatoo from Australia, or a giant spore turtle from Africa! Tip: Bags of food can be purchased at the entrance to feed the fish, chickens, or water turtles!
  • Botanical Garden: Animals aren’t the only living things you’ll find at the zoo! The botanical garden hosts a wide variety of plant species in the main and special collection, including giant water lilies, giant pipe flowers, and even a mixture of carnivorous plants! Lose yourself in the greenery and smell the sweet scent of flowers.
  • Woked up an animal-sized appetite? Hit up the Jungle Cafe! Snack on an ice cream on the sunny terrace during summer, or cozy up with a hot chocolate next to the wood-burning stove in winter. Want to take your favorite zoo animal home? Stop by the Jungle Store to pick up a stuffed furry friend, organic honey, or home garden products.
