Teatro de la Ciudad La Paz

The City Theater was inaugurated on January 26, 1986; it is located within the Cultural Unit that bears the name of the illustrious figure of Professor Jesús Castro Agúndez, and in which other cultural dependencies are located. Since then it is the most important scenario of its kind in the state. Its objective is to offer the different sectors of the community theater, dance and music shows of the highest local, national and international artistic quality, and to encourage the development of the performing arts. It also facilitates its facilities for film screenings, conferences and ceremonies of various kinds; also exhibits visual art exhibitions by local artists in its alternative spaces.
