If you would rather relax at the seaside, go to Palanga. It has some great beaches and beautiful sand dunes. Curonian Split is another must see of the country. It’s a small sand dune which separates the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea. The Lithuanian landscape is dominated by blooming meadows, forests (one third of the country), 3,000 lakes, and fertile fields of cereals. Wildlife is everywhere, with animals such as roe deers, boars, deers… Aukstaitija National Park is a must if you want to get close to nature.
