Lazdijų krašto muziejus

The first museum in Lazdijai was founded by the director Motiejus Gustaitis in 1924, under the direction of the old "Ziburys" gymnasium. He trained a number of place names, ethnographers, ethnographers, exhibits of works of art, archaeological finds, folk art pieces, and gave valuable books, manuscripts, original paintings to the museum. The city's emblem of the privilege granted to the city of Augusto Lazdijai was destroyed in 1936 by the state-run gymnasium. The Salomėja Neris Museum was founded in 1974, and the Motiejus Gustaitis Memorial Museum - in the 1990s. February 27th 1995m the Museum of History, Culture and Education was founded in 2004.
