It all began a 'summer of about 40 years ago, when Domenico Casali, known by the people of the country as Minghin in Mingaren, along with his wife Ida, had the brilliant idea to cook the piadina on the front door, to sell now to the now wanderers , now to the new tourists who were then beginning to know the Bertinoro of wines and flavors.

At the beginning was a small wooden chopping board with a coal-fired terracotta pan, then two chairs and a table asked by customers to taste better the piadina and a good glass of wine by Bertinoro, rigorously produced by Domenico himself.

Slowly, from one table he went to two and then to three, then to a room and a kitchen: Trattoria Mingaren was born.

Over the years, the restaurant has adapted to the needs of its customers, while remaining always respectful of the food and wine traditions of the land of Romagna, in particular Forli and Cesena.

All this until 2005, when Angelo and Anna, the heirs of Mr. Domenico, decided to take a further step forward: in addition to modernizing the part dedicated to catering, to build from scratch an accommodation facility capable of 15 beds so as to satisfy possible requests from customers who want to stay in a quiet hotel surrounded by the sweet and green hills of Bertin.
