The two theaters of Modena managed by ERT Foundation are Storchi Theatre, built in 1884 with a capacity of 950 seats, and the Theatre of Passions, a post industrial building converted into a theater in 1999, with 140 seats.

Design rather than programming, it is the starting point of the work in these areas, so try to share the artistic process with the public. There is attention to preserving the role of active partner, offering productions, educational and cultural projects in the theater both nationally and internationally.

A public as an active subject, which provide a service by bringing to town the best deals on the national scene, but also as a mobile entity, which suggest stimuli that come out of customs. Among the many directors who in recent years have worked with Emilia Romagna Teatro presenting their productions to Storchi Theatre or Theatre of Passions are Giancarlo Cobelli, Pippo Delbono, Caesar Mild, Thierry Salmon, Federico Tiezzi, Enrique Vargas, Bob Wilson, Eimuntas Nekrošius, Massimo Castri, Alvis Hermanis, Claudio Longhi, Antonio Latella.

Our projects start from the idea that a city theater should be the place where people gather as a community, where they share emotions and imagination, where they can get in touch with their public consciousness.
