Arbostella The theater was founded in 2006, in Viale Giuseppe Verdi No. 2 in one of the Arbostella park space granted by the City of Salerno.
The old and dilapidated prefabricated structure of the former elementary school, made postterremoto era, is transformed, thanks to the efforts and the commendable work of Gino Esposito (artistic director) and its actors in a real theater with a capacity of 100 seats seating, complete with stalls and armchairs, a large stage, dressing rooms, toilets, box office, entrance hall, boardroom, rehearsal room, storage rooms and scenes preparation labs.
And since then, the Teatro Arbostella is organized every year a theatrical season as much as 10 shows on the Neapolitan comic genre preference and reassessing the great artistic treasures of the Neapolitan comedy Petito Scarpetta, Di Maio to Viviani to large Peppino and Eduardo de Filippo.

The redevelopment of the theater Arbostella becomes cause for pride on the part of the Mayor Vincenzo De Luca that by participating in the new opening ceremony christened the Theatre as an important meeting point for young people largely through the efforts of so many operators of theater and culture Salerno, and also for its strategic location that the structure covers, given the proximity to the subway station, as well as the Novotel and the municipal gardens of Arbostella Park.
Since summer 2009 the management of the theater is managed by the new Association "Laboratory Theatre Arbostella" with the Presidency entrusted to the Immaculate Caracciuolo, and vice-president Arturo Esposito.
The new Association, in addition to aim to improve the already impressive performance from previous management, aims to achieve greater growth both in the same structure that the population of the eastern area of Salerno, thus bringing it closer to unknown reality and trying to lift the spirits of a culture and interests more.
And for this purpose that at the Theatre Arbostella, as is already the case for years, it held a theatrical workshop aimed at children and young people, introducing them well in a world totally different from what we usually live, enabling them to manage their feelings.
The laboratory has opened the door for a while 'of time even to adults, creating their interests surely more appropriate to deal with their insecurities, with courses in diction, mime and acting.
