A document dated July 13, 1178, reported in the manuscript Abbot Savoldo, testifies to the presence of the church and a place called Sante Marie to Vithesicium. This church is part of the history and life of its inhabitants, and those who assert that they were miraculously healed by the Madonna to accidents of all kinds. This belief and love from the people, led to dedicate a church to the Madonna Uva Secca. Thus was born a legend dates to the period in which he tells how the Povegliano countryside was lush vineyards that gave good harvests. But the rejection of a peasant to a poorly dressed woman who required a bunch of grapes, made to dry the entire harvest: the woman was the Virgin. To repair the damage done, the church was erected.
