It stands on a basalt ridge a few kilometers from the village of San Leonardo de Siete Fuentes where is the church itself and the springs that give it its name.
You can reach it by taking the road from San Leonardo towards Macomer. The nuraghe is visible for a stretch of road on the left. Slightly exceeded the 4th kilometer we start in a narrow steep uphill agrarian penetration on the left. Come to a fork, take the left and continue a few meters after you leave the road and continue along a very steep path beaten by the cattle on the right. Continuing in the direction straight, extricating himself among the sparse shrubs and climbing over some wall is reached within a few hundred meters of the site.
It is a tri-lobed nuraghe with a main tower and two smaller towers in a South-West and the other in the northeast. Also remain the traces of a curtain wall a few meters from the entrance of the first tower that surrounded the complex.
The site is in a complete state of abandonment. The main tower has a svettamento height of about 5 meters above the ground. The two smaller towers are completely destroyed and the collapse material clogs the rooms.
The entrance has a trapezoidal shape in height of about two meters. Opening develops a passage with floor ceiling lintels. On the left begins the staircase currently escarpment leading to the upper floor and on the right is a niche. The passage has a length of about 4.5 meters and leads to the central chamber.
In the central room with ceiling tholos (false vault obtained by tilting the walls gradually inward) there are two niches with lintel.
Because of svettamento the upper floor is completely absent and the ceiling opens a hole there about half a meter in diameter.
It understands that you were not made excavations for the study of the monument when excluding inspections of Taramelli.
Is reported by some authors, in conflicting positions, the existence of a tomb of the giants of which remain the plant boulders and a circular exedra branch.
