The Archaeological Museum of Este is not only its beautiful sixteenth-century home and its collections, but also a place to live: it is the gateway to a world away and many unknown, that of the ancient Venetians, who belongs to our community and It makes us retrace our origins.

The National Museum Atestino contains about 65,000 overall inventory numbers for the archaeological material and acquired 7400 drawings related to archaeological finds, catalog sheets and restoration cards. The photo archive consists of about 37600 negatives. Inside the museum there is also a specialist library consists of about 4400 volumes.

In the museum are housed the most representative archaeological material culture of the ancient Venetians, who lived in this region throughout the first millennium. C .: through these visitors can discover the evolution of an ancient Italian civilization dedicated to flourishing artisan and mercantile activities.

The Roman section illustrates the transformation of the city of Ateste, between the first century. BC and the second century AD. C., while a small section is devoted to medieval pottery, Renaissance and modern.
