The Museum Gracchus, located inside the archaeological site of Pompeii, a few meters from the Villa of the Mysteries, one of the finest examples of Roman wall painting, was founded in order to document the importance of the ancient Pompeian painting had modern art, since its discovery, during the neoclassical period, and in contemporary art, fascinating artists such as Picasso, Renoir, and De Chirico, to this day. Special sections house the collection of paintings and graphics of Maestro Gracchus and periodic personal and collective exhibitions of young artists also.
