The Museum of Ostellato Territory was established June 13, 2006, and illustrates the evolution of the Earth and Man in history. Starting with the origins of the universe and the birth of the Earth coming up to the present day, it retraces the stages of the relationship between Man and Environment, made changes and mutual influences.

The installation was designed specifically for the former Valley Court barn, inside which is housed the Museum. On the ground floor an interactive exhibition and suggestive takes visitors through the evolution of the Universe, of our planet and of man up to the formation of the Po Valley and to its first inhabitants, illustrated by reproductions of prehistoric bone finds.

On the first floor the focus is on the history of human settlements in these "middle" Terre with a display that tells, as in a true story, a history spanning more than 2,000 years; Special attention is paid to the Etruscan period and the city of Spina, with a "scene" that evokes daily life. In the central part of the first floor there are interactive stations that offer the visitor a further deepening of the instrument; four monitors with its towers that work in perfect autonomy, proposing four movies: "When the Po is sweet", "The Low Ferrarese in the 20's", "Hemp" and "remediation."

The Museum of Ostellato can be considered as a real journey in archeology and history that, in dialogue with the other local museums, shows the identity that distinguishes this territory as well as in the past exchanges between different cultures have contributed to enrich the evolution of the human species.

In 2015 it was completely renovated, with interventions of extraordinary scientific and structural functional maintenance of equipment and related equipment, thanks to allocation of resources on L.R. 40/98.

The Museum of Ostellato Territory Museum is recognized as the Quality Institute for Artistic, Cultural and Natural Heritage of the Region Emilia Romagna
