Costantino Barbella, sculptor teatino the 'nineteenth century, has devoted much of his production to Abruzzo, realizing small terracotta sculptures depicting characters and moments of life of the rural world of his land. The exhibition is divided into three sections. The section of ancient art - with fragments of late medieval frescoes and works on wood from ancient churches in the city of Chieti and the province; the modern art section with valuable paintings of the eighteenth century Neapolitan and Venetian and works of the most famous artists such as the Abruzzo No de Laurentiis, F.P. Michetti, Palizzi F., B. Cascella, C. Barbella and others; and finally the contemporary art section with works by local painters, but also of national and international artists.
