Museo Civico di Storia Naturale di Verona

Pompei Palace, seat of the Civic Museum of Natural History of Verona, is one of the most important buildings from the historical point of view and the city's architecture. Lavezzola commissioned by the family between 1530 and 1550 the brilliant architect Michele Sanmicheli, later became property of the Pompei family who in 1833 donated it to the City of Verona. The original core of the building was enlarged, starting from 1858, with the annexation of spaces and adjacent houses. The spacious rooms of the palace are now placed fourteen exhibition rooms, the library, laboratories, deposits of collections and the museum offices.
