the Museum of the Southern Lagoon is an archaeological and ethnographic museum housed in the lagoon area 'former Convent of St. Francis outside the walls. The first plant of the building dates back to 1315, while the second, after its destruction in the war between Venetians and Genoese (1378-1381), in 1434. In 1806 the monastery was desecrated, and from then on took on different functions: in 1808 became a military warehouse, divided into two floors, it was kept here as a fruit and vegetable warehouse at the end of World war I, in 'last after the war the complex became a shelter for displaced persons and then, until a few decades ago, it was adapted as a garage for bus.
