The museum is located in an extraordinary architectural context, the former convent of the Maggiore Monastery adjoining the church of San Maurizio, founded in the VIII-IX century AD in an area that preserves impressive structures in the elevation of the Roman era (towers and walls. The exhibition itinerary includes archaeological collections related to Roman Milan, as well as the Greek, Etruscan, Early Middle Ages, Caesarea Maritime and Gandhara art.
