Castiglione Olona

Once the core of the mighty Roman Empire, and the cradle of the Renaissance, it is also home to the greatest number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the world, including high art and monuments. Fourteenth-century palace of the branch of the family of Cardinal (Castiglioni Monteruzzo) overlooking a courtyard in the Lombard Gothic style. The precious interior, with frescoes of the fifteenth century, frame the seat of Plastic Arts Museum and its collection of works by contemporary artists.
