The "La Palomba" Bed & Breakfast, located in the hilltop village of Castellonorato, offers a magnificent stay, between sea and mountains, in one of the most suggestive places on the Lazio coast.
The villa is surrounded by greenery, in an area characterized by the presence of olive groves and wooded areas that gently degrade towards the sea, a few kilometers from Formia, a lively city center halfway between Rome and Naples.
For guests of double rooms, furnished with taste and maximum comfort, each with TVLCD, private bathroom and terrace from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire Gulf of Gaeta.
Breakfast can be served inside, in the large living room with fireplace, on the ground floor or outside under the patio that opens onto the vast garden that surrounds the villa.
The name "La Palomba" is suggested by the territory on which the structure stands and which contains the ancient feudal area of the Counts Caetani who used it as a breeding place for the palombi (pigeons); the "Fons Palombari" current fountain of the Palomba and the nearby church of the "Madonna della Palomba" whose symbol, the white dove, has assumed over time a sacred meaning since the "Palummo Santo" has always been a bearer of good news and recalls, in its form, the Holy Spirit.
The center closest to the B & B is Formia, a charming town that develops between the Aurunci mountains and the Tyrrhenian Sea, easily reachable by train, motorway, ordinary road and embarkation point for Ischia and the Pontine islands, located in front of its beautiful coastline. Rich in finds and archaeological sites that bear witness to its ancient origin, Formia certainly satisfies all those who love the sun, the sea, nature, history but also fun and shopping.
