Discover the Excellence of Ancona at Cantine Moroder & Agriturismo Aiòn

Ancona, a charming coastal city in the Marche region of Italy, is known for its stunning landscapes, rich history, and delicious cuisine. Nestled in the hills of Monte Conero, you'll find Cantine Moroder & Agriturismo Aiòn, a hidden gem that offers a unique experience for wine enthusiasts and food lovers alike.

A Legacy of Excellence

The Moroder family has been dedicated to the excellence of the Marche region since the mid-18th century. Their passion for winemaking is evident in their renowned Rosso Conero, a red wine that embodies the essence of the region. The vineyards, bathed by the Adriatic Sea and located just a short distance from Ancona, benefit from the unique microclimate of Monte Conero, resulting in exceptional grapes.

In the 1980s, Alessandro and Serenella Moroder took the reins of the estate and embarked on an ambitious winemaking project. Their innovative approach, combined with their unwavering passion, led to the creation of their most prestigious wine, the Dorico Conero Riserva. In 1988, it became the first Marche wine to be awarded the coveted "3 bicchieri" (3 glasses) by Gambero Rosso, a prestigious Italian wine guide.

Zero: A Fragrant and Original Wine

One of the standout wines produced by Cantine Moroder is Zero, a Rosso Conero without added sulfites. This fragrant and original wine is made exclusively from Montepulciano grapes. The harvest takes place manually in early October from a single vineyard facing west. The grapes undergo a maceration process on the skins for 4 to 5 days, followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks.

After at least 6 months of aging in steel and cement, the wine rests in the bottle for a minimum of 2 months before being released. Throughout this entire process, no sulfites are added, resulting in a pure and natural expression of the Montepulciano grape. Zero boasts an intense ruby red color with violet reflections. Its fragrant aromas evoke the essence of the grape and the fruit of Montepulciano. On the palate, it offers a harmonious blend of fruity and vinous notes, accompanied by well-balanced tannins.
