The bed and breakfast is inserted in the fifteenth century Villa Cà Erizzo which is one of the most picturesque architectural contexts of ancient Bassano.

Just north of the famous wooden bridge of Palladio, on the east bank of the river Brenta, rises Ca 'Erizzo, an elegant structure of the' 400, with subsequent remakes and embellishments. In 1918 the villa was the residence of Section One of the American Red Cross ambulances. Among those volunteer drivers there was also Ernest Hemingway, and in these places I find inspiration for two of his most famous novels "Farewell to arms" and "Beyond the river and among the trees".

The Heminway inn, a bed and breakfast full of charm, is located in the Lungobrenta dedicated to Ernest Hemingway and is just a few steps from the newly inaugurated Hemingway and the Great War Museum. From the windows of the rooms and from the internal garden you can see the flow of the river that laps one of the most evocative and picturesque areas of Borgo Margnan.

The Hemingway Museum Ernest Hemingway stayed at the Villa Ca 'Erizzo during the Great War period. This is the reason why we wanted to dedicate this important space and historical cultural setting. Of this well-known figure in the world of literature and beyond, in years of patient research, we wanted to collect a vast archive-photographic documentation, as well as numerous editorial works, in different editions in Italian and foreign languages. The same applies to rare and original journals that have largely wanted to deal with his life and his activity.

Guests of the Hemingway Inn are offered free access to the museum.
