Agriturismo Le Quattro Piume

The history of our family in these places begins in the first half of the twentieth century when two young peasants moved here with their five children. In the country the voice that resounded was: "Arrivit lu Soccj gnov ..!". Others it was not that the grandfather Giacomo: the sharecropper that worked the lands of the conductor, also called "Lu Patron" and to which he was allowed to live in one of his houses. The Mezzadria was an agrarian contract: half of the agricultural products remained to the farmer and the other half returned to the landowner. Not a few years passed, but many sacrifices, the family was more and more unity, the children grew and each one with his own singleness was busy to build a more comfortable future ... and so it was! The Ferratusco da Soccj Family became the owner of the cottage that lived and bought some land, it was the beginning of a new chapter, it was the beginning of our roots. Time passed and the years in which we emigrated arrived, we left everything behind to seek fortune ... the five boys, now great, scattered between the old and new continent. Now the house of "Campanar" (this was the nickname of the grandfather), it could seem too big to contain only two people, but it was almost too small ... too small, because every occasion was good to meet up with brothers and family . Now there were nephews and it was always a party. There were always friends who stayed, there was always the grandma's fresh pasta, there were preserves in the secret room and the smell of some cheese ripened and hidden for special occasions! With this spirit our farm is born. "Le Quattro Piume" is a place to discover Abruzzo and find a home! We are waiting for you...
