San Martino Sannita

Once the core of the mighty Roman Empire, and the cradle of the Renaissance, it is also home to the greatest number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the world, including high art and monuments. Italy is famous for its delicious cuisine, it's trendy fashions, luxury sports cars and motorcycles, diverse regional cultures and dialects, as well as for its various sceneries from the seas to the Alps and Apennines, all reasons why it got nickcoded Il Bel Paese (the Beautiful Country). One of the great things about Italy is that its long thin shape means that when you get fed up with sightseeing you are often a relatively short distance from a beach. In many of the more popular areas, large sections of beach are reserved as paid beaches. Italy is full of differents cultures you can see: Etruscan Italy, The Greek influence, Roman ruins, Christian Italy, The Byzantine cities and The Renaissance.

It is here that we find the ruins of Pompeii, the ancient village frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, today dormant. Other archaeological sites in the area are among the best preserved in the country. Descending its coastline, travellers cross fishing villages and observe the unparalleled beauty of the Bay of Naples, whose innumerable palaces are well worth a visit. It was here that the pizza was born, a dish now eaten worldwide; when it comes to folklore, its traditional dance known as the 'Tarantella' is widely known. As an agricultural region famous for its cereals, olives, tomatoes and vineyards, it is gradually beginning to industrialise.

We are in the territory of San Martino Sannita, Beneventana small town in the province, a few souls but genuine as our land, which gives us every day products to prepare our dishes. Our house is available to anyone who wants to spend a few days in the countryside and tranquility of course enjoy our cuisine based on seasonal products. Unlike others we have no a la carte menu, we prefer to bring our dishes according to what we have.
