Some Irish history has been very dark indeed, but it remains a land of poets, story-tellers, and musicians, with marvellous scenery, an advanced knowledge economy, first-rate infrastructures, and leading industries, with a high gross domestic product and standard of living. There are the megalithic tombs of Brú na Bóinne, older than the Egyptian pyramids, used as inspiration for some famous Celtic symbols that came later.

One of the last working mills in Ireland, Foxford was founded by an Irish Sister of Charity in 1892.Today it is a thriving mill with master craftspeople creating beautiful pieces in Foxford for sale in our own stores in Mayo, independent stores around Ireland, and in stores all over the world.
