Reykjanesbær

The largest city and capital is Reykjavik, but most travelers don’t stay long there, at best 2 or 3 days. A paradise for nature lovers, the whole island indeed has so much else to offer. Viking World is a museum in Njarðvík, Reykjanesbær, Iceland. The museum opened on 8 May 2009, followed by a formal opening on Icelandic National Day, 17 June. The director was Elisabeth Ward; the building was designed by Guðmundur Jónsson.
