The museum is located on the first floor of the Zirc Cistercian Abbey building. The permanent exhibition presents the varied, diverse wildlife of Bakony, hunting wildlife, trophies and ice age giants, including the skeleton of two mammoths (Tonna and Mázsa) found in 2006 during a road construction. "Jewelery of nature - minerals" The exhibition presents not only the Bakony, but also the wonderful crystals collected from the entire Carpathian Basin. Among the trophies of Dr. Bativai-Schüle Imre János, there are also huge Caucasian bears, moose and Siberian argali. In the showroom of the bird world, A "red book" showcase where bird species threatened by extinction can be seen. It is a special feature that live animals (fish, frogs, lizards) can be seen at the exhibition. SarokGaleria always has a temporary exhibit related to nature, which can be a fine arts or photo exhibition, but it also presents topics related to the wildlife of Bakony. We welcome exhibitors on this topic. The museum shop can be bought from the institution's own publications. Numerous programs serve the residents and visitors of the area. The museum pedagogical and forestry school programs are for students, while in introductory lectures, tour guides, and collections you can leave some interesting experiences. Every year there is a great success for the Night of Museums at the end of June.
