No less than 17 of those monuments are listed as World Heritage Sites. However, the many charming little islands, sandy beaches and picturesque whitewashed coastal towns are at least as much a reason to come for the millions of tourists that this Mediterranean country receives each year.

Greece

Tripoli is the capital of the region and it is located in the central part of Peloponnese. This region is really famous for the beautiful coastline that surrounds it. In this city you can feel all the ancient legacy of the region with the temple of Apollo, the ancient theatre and the Glauke Fountain.
