Nafpaktia

A range of first class historic landmarks remind one of the days when the great Greek emperors and writers made their mark on the development of science, literature and democracy. No less than 17 of those monuments are listed as World Heritage Sites. However, the many charming little islands, sandy beaches and picturesque whitewashed coastal towns are at least as much a reason to come for the millions of tourists that this Mediterranean country receives each year.

Greece

The city is again full of ancient archaeological sites such as theatres, castles, and odeon and a church of the old age. One of the most impressive buildings of the city is the Cathedral of Agios Andreas. A part of the city is lately constructed where you can distinguish the Georgiou I Square. If you are looking some smaller villages you will need to go more to the north of the region. Astakos and Mytikas are two small fishing villages where you can try to rent a boat and explore the Ionian sea. If you are looking for some beaches the best places of the region are in in the center of the region with the most famous one being the Kalogria Beach.
