The elegant building of Olympion is located in the city center in one of the most-photographed places in Thessaloniki, Aristotelous Square. It was built in 1919 by the architect J. Mose after the devastating fire of 1917. Later on, during the war, a German fighter plane crashed into the building and destroyed a big part of it.
However, since 1956 it works both as a cinema and a theater. Olympion hosts various activities like festivals, opening ceremonies, conferences and discussions. Photo credit ©nedomacki
