Built between 1937 and 1939, the "Katzenkopf" armored works are the most northerly and one of the few armored works in the former West Wall to be visited. It is still the only freely accessible "B-Werk" in Germany of this type (with a separate 6-barreled tank turret and tunnel system). The Westwall Museum has been set up in three accessible levels since 1979, in which an interesting exhibition of pictures and weapons documents can be visited.
