Frankfurt's West End since 1977 reminds Struwwelpeter and Heinrich-Hoffmann-Museum at the Frankfurt physician and author of the published in 1845 storybook classic. In portraits, manuscripts, sketches and books Heinrich Hoffmann's diverse work as a children's author, reformer of Psychiatry, poets and political activists in 1848 time is alive.

Rare original editions, exotic translations, political parodies, kitsch and art tell of the worldwide distribution and timeliness of Struwwelpeters. For young visitors, there is much to discover. Theater room and craft room can accommodate children for creativity.

Support the museum is the frankfurter factory community. Profit association for the mentally ill and disabled people continues the psychiatric reform work of Heinrich Hoffmann's contemporary means. The museum offers jobs for people with mental illness - a unique combination of culture and social work.
