Museum Moyland is a museum of modern and contemporary art and an international research center for Joseph Beuys.

The collection of the museum is based on the former private collection of the brothers van der Grinten and is housed in the historic castle and gardens Preserved and presented. Attached are the Joseph Beuys Archive and the Museum Library.

The world's largest complex of works by the artist Joseph Beuys represents the central focus of the collection. Together with the archival holdings of the Joseph Beuys Archive, it forms the Beuys Center.

With its diverse range of exhibitions, events and mediation as well as the historic castle ensemble amidst the extensive gardens, the museum is a magnet of international importance.
