Since 2008, the museum invites young and old on a journey through 2000 years of bathing culture. At the heart of the museum are the original Roman baths, a "monument of national importance". The thermal baths date back to the 2nd century and are the best preserved of their kind north of the Alps. A circular walk in the museum accompanies the visitor from the remains of the Roman baths to medieval baths and hygiene rules on the first sinks and "toilets", curious inventions such as the bathing ships and the rocking bathtub to the first moves of the bathing tourism. For children, there is a special mediation concept, which addresses several senses: The Duftwand gives an impression of the former odors again, a game table invites you to try out ancient games and a comic book leads via multimedia stations playful to the topic. Thus, the contents of the entertaining exhibition for children are varied experience.
