Freiburg im Breisgau

With about 82 million inhabitants, Germany is the most populous member state of the European Union. Germany's capital and largest metropolis is Berlin, while its largest conurbation is the Ruhr, with its main centres of Dortmund and Essen. The country's other major cities are Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, Leipzig, Bremen, Dresden, Hannover, and Nuremberg. Elevation ranges from the mountains of the Alps in the south to the shores of the North Sea in the northwest and the Baltic Sea  in the northeast. The forested uplands of central Germany and the lowlands of northern Germany are traversed by such major rivers as the Rhine, Danube and Elbe. Germany's alpine glaciers are experiencing deglaciation. When thinking of Germany, beer, lederhosen and Alpine hats quickly come to mind, but these stereotypes mostly relate to Bavarian culture and do not represent Germany as a whole. Germany is a vast and diverse country with 16 culturally unique states that have been politically united since 1871. Even within states there is often considerable cultural diversity.

It is Germany’s third-largest state in terms of size and population. The state’s capital and largest city is Stuttgart, home to the Wilhelma, a royal estate with a zoo and gardens. Porsche and Mercedes-Benz have established their headquarters and museums in this city. Hohenzollern Castle, built in the 19th century, is located south of the Swabian Alps.The Land has many other tourist attractions, including the Black Forest (Schwarzwald), the Lake Constance (Bodensee), the Swabian Alb (Schwäbische Alb), the Danube and some historic towns such as Baden-Baden, Konstanz, Heidelberg, Freiburg and in Brisgau, Tübingen and Ulm. The landscapes are very diverse, from the vast forests to the monumental lakes and rivers of the Land.

The market hall in the middle of the city center is for many hungry Mittagspäusler one of the starting points, if you are looking for culinary diversity.
From Brazil to China, from Europe to the Orient - here you will find many international delicacies and different flavors from all corners of the world.
At around twenty stalls, it is possible to have a bite to eat or choose from the rich selection of cocktails.
And on weekend evenings, there are numerous party evenings.

Swing events or musical hits of the '70s-90s or even old-time jazz are a great way to swing a leg or jiggle to the beat with a delicious drink in your hand.

And no problem, if one of the cravings in the middle should come over, for the physical well-being is of course taken care of on these evenings.
