THE HISTORY OF APERITIVO BAR

The ancient Romans consumed the "muslum" before lunch - a drink of wine and honey to whet the appetite. So succeeded the word "l'Aperitivo", in lat. "Aperire" (open) to the meaning "hope for lunch".

Italy in 1786: owner Antonio Benedetto Carpano invents a wormwood liqueur from over thirty different herbs in a small wine and liquor store. This appetizing creation was then used by barista (barmen) to mix different drinks. And so the "Aperitivo" not only developed into a daily ritual in the bars of the big cosmopolitan cities of Italy, but also worldwide as a synonym for the original Italian way of life.

Today, "L'Aperitivo" is a meeting place for friends, work colleagues and businessmen to unwind with the favorite drink of the work day and to pay full attention to the beautiful sides of life.

A good Italian aperitivo is served with classic "fingerfood" snacks such as puff pastry, pizza pieces, lettuce, cold cuts, tramezzini or olives.

We invite you to enjoy beautiful moments with friends and acquaintances, as we call them Italian tradition.
