Anhaltisches Theater Dessau

The Anhaltische Theater Dessau is a multi-part theater with drama, music theater (opera, operetta, musical), ballet, concert (Anhalt Philharmonic) and puppet theater.

Every year the highlights of the season are presented in the "Elbmusikfest". The theater is also active outside the over 1000-seat large house: at the annual Kurt Weill Fest, at the color festival staged around the Bauhaus, at lake concerts in Wörlitz or supraregional and international guest appearances. From 2012 to 2015, Anhaltische Theater will stage Wagner's "Ring des Nibelungen" after 50 years. More information at: www.der-ring-in-dessau.de
