Discover Rare Domestic Animals at Parc Animalier De Beauquet Marais in Neuilly-la-Forêt

Neuilly-la-Forêt, a charming village nestled in the heart of the marshes, is home to a unique and captivating attraction - Parc Animalier De Beauquet Marais. This animal park and educational farm is a must-visit destination for families, groups, and solo travelers alike. With its vast expanse of 15 hectares, the park offers a tranquil and immersive experience, allowing visitors to explore and interact with rare domestic animals.

A Passion for Rare Species

Parc Animalier De Beauquet Marais was founded in 2014 by Jérôme Prunier and Jérôme Marie, two passionate individuals dedicated to the preservation of endangered animal species. Their association, Tamworth et compagnie, actively works towards the maintenance and conservation of this magnificent park, where over a hundred rare animals roam freely.

An Enchanting Walk Amongst Rare Animals

Embark on a peaceful and serene stroll along the park's 2.4 kilometers of grassy pathways, where you'll encounter a diverse range of animals. From four-horned goats and Angora pigs to frizzled geese and water buffalos, the park is home to an impressive collection of over 250 different rare animal breeds, including birds, poultry, and fish.

During your visit, you have the opportunity to feed the animals if you wish. The park encourages interaction, allowing visitors to connect with these unique creatures on a personal level. At the end of your walk, you can even engage in conversations with the knowledgeable staff, who are more than happy to provide explanations and insights about the animals. It's not uncommon to encounter international visitors, including Russians, who have been captivated by the park's charm.

Constant Evolution and Conservation Efforts

Parc Animalier De Beauquet Marais is committed to continuous improvement and conservation efforts. Each year, the owners introduce new additions and enhancements to the park. One notable addition is a new aviary that houses opal peacocks from the United States and purple peacocks from Portugal - both extremely rare species.

This season, the park welcomes new species, including black-faced mountain sheep and Arles merinos, two types of sheep. Additionally, the park is home to rare Puy-de-Dôme ferrandaise cows, a breed on the brink of extinction. Parc Animalier De Beauquet Marais is affiliated with the F.E.R.M.E association, which allows them to collaborate with other breeders and share species for conservation purposes. The park plays a vital role in preserving these rare breeds, as they face the threat of disappearing if no action is taken.
