We live in this beautiful house in the pretty Normandy village of Hambye which we are in the process of turning it into a bed and breakfast so that you can also come and share our wonderful house.
The house is known as Papillon, which is French for butterfly, and we are inviting you to ‘like’ our Facebook page at Papillon Chambres d’Hotes where you can catch up on all our news, keep an eye on how we are getting on and even book rooms to stay.
The house is now finished. We have three double bedrooms, one of which is also a family room, and all of which are en suite. They are all fully finished and beautiful to stay in. More photos to follow in the next few days for those people with the savvy to ‘like’ Papillon Chambres d’Hotes on Facebook.
Costs are 85 euros per room per night to include a lovely breakfast with fresh breads and pastries along with occasional ‘guest’ breakfasts. We have a cot for very small children and, up to the age of 3 they are free of charge. Up to two extra children, 12 or under, can be accommodated in the family room for an extra £10 per child per night or £15 per night for over 12’s. Plenty of parking and free wifi is available.
There are plenty of things to do close by. We are twenty minutes from the most beautiful sandy (and empty) beaches and all the D-Day beaches and sites are less than an hour away. Mont St Michel and Bayeux are both close by. We always come via Calais, which is a four hour drive, but Caen is one hour away with St Malo and Cherbourg one and a half hours away. You can fly to Dinard with Ryanair or to Rennes or Caen with flybe.
We still have some vacancies through the summer and you can message us via Facebook, telephone me on 07969 306801 (UK based number and always with me) or email me on [email protected].
