Maison des grenadières - Atelier-Musée de broderie au fil d'or

Since the mid-nineteenth century, the inhabitants of the township of Noirétable are handed a rare and misunderstood profession: that of embroidery with gold thread. These embroiderers, locally called "sling" received the name of embroidery they make in series, namely the emblem of the police and firefighters, "pomegranate". Today the workshop perpetuates this expertise that visitors can discover the second floor of the museum. The House of Grenadières, located in the historic village of Cervières, allows the discovery and preservation of this knowledge.
