UNUSUAL PROJECT GIVEN BY ASSOCIATION: Conceived in 1993, the construction of the Village Gaulois took several years of work by a team from 2 to 5 people. We chose the essential aim of which is to explain active reconstitution through these achievements, the gesture, the look, the lives of our ancestors and the high level of technical knowledge that this company which preceded us had reached. Research scientists and archaeological data; cultural fields to harvest rye, its thatched transformation; the cutting of trees to the realization of structures; from earth to mud, everything has been planned, designed, grown, picked, cut, sawn, assembled, molded, spread by the single team Archéosite Gauls. We applied as much as possible to transcribe scientific information and every time information was missing we imagined, as we report what is likely or plausible. The reconstruction is a more or less faithful copy that reveals an essential amount of information to the understanding of the human lifestyle.
PRESENTATION : 9 ha, this life-size village was reconstructed with scientific and undeniable historical rigor. Along the Garonne, there is the daily life of our ancestors between 450 and 52 BC. AD, and we discover the work of artisans of the Gallic era. Around the village, the facilitators explain with great teaching and demonstrations using the gestures of yesteryear: metalworking (forging, silverware, brassware ...) basketry, pottery, weaving, etc.
For children who can read, a game ahead.
