Bordering Normandy and Pays de la Loire regions. Bro Gozh ma Zadoù is the anthem of Brittany. It is sung to the same tune as that of the national anthem of Wales, Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau, and has similar words. The region is composed of fishing villages on the southern coast, medieval fortifications and towns, craggy coastline (including the magnificent Côtes d'Armor of pink granite), parks and nature reserves that make it a favoured destination for lovers of rest and tranquillity. It played a major role in France's history, from ancient Gaul to the Hundred Years' War. Today it plays a significant economic role, based on agriculture, livestock breeding and industry.

Brittany

The Rock Route is a rock festival organized since 1991 by the association Rock Tympans. It takes place in Brittany at Fort Saint-Père in Saint-Père-Marc-en-Poulet and on Bon Secours beach in Saint-Malo during the weekend of August 15th. As of 2006, La Route du Rock has two editions per year with a "Winter Collection" in February and a "Summer Collection" in August.
