As far as we could go back in time, there is a Tortochot, winemaker at Gevrey. Last century, the grandfather of Gabriel, Paul, was a small winemaker Place des Marronniers. His son, Felix, founded Liébaut family with Louise Morey. The Liébaut are well known, a plant Pinot Black bears their name in honor of the grandfather Eugene who had selected. Son Felix, Gabriel exploited until 2001, a dozen hectares.

Gabriel Tortochot, a staunch defender of Burgundy wines, including its action to chair the "Wine Syndicate of Gevrey-Chambertin" and its role in the "National Committee of INAO" transmitted his passion for the terroir of Gevrey its children, Brigitte and Chantal.

The latter, a Sup de Co degree Dijon pocket, wanted to fly with his own wings. For fifteen years, she worked as a financial controller from various companies Bourguignon industry. At age 35, she wanted to change direction but before returning it consolidated its formation by getting a degree in oenology technician, followed by a license Vine Sciences obtained at the institute Jules Guyot (University of burgundy in Dijon). She belongs to a new generation of winemakers wishing to practice a viticulture nearest the plant and produce wines of terroir.

It is a family estate of 12 hectares (30 acres), existing since 4 generations, located On in Gevrey-Chambertin. It is now représentée par Chantal MICHEL-TORTOCHOT.

Our wines are all red-wines, all made with Pinot Black with 14 different appellations. Our wines are available in different countries: France, Germany, UK, Norway, Sweeden, Belgium, Denmark, Japan, USA (Florida, New York, Virginia, Washington DC, New Jersey, NC, SC, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee).
