The Hostel-Noble du Vernou, A place full of stories.

The domain of the Hotel-Noble, located in Vernou-sur-Brenne, is equidistant from Tours and Amboise, in the heart of the AOC Vouvray and the castles of the Loire.

From the beginning of the 16th century, the Hostel-Noble du Vernou is mentioned in the writings. This manor house, built in the center of a noble land (implied by the nobility), was part of the real estate heritage of the mayors of Tours, but was not necessarily inhabited by them. The estate was leased to sharecroppers, among others, who made good use of the 40-hectare estate crossed by the La Brenne River. Thus, the Hostel-Noble was the property of multiple mayors of Tours until the Revolution.

In 1789, it is a rich trader who acquires it and gives it the name of "The House and Closerie de Roquemolle" or "House of Vernou" because it was not a good time to be called "Hostel-Noble " at this time.

Small anecdote: At the end of the 19th century, it is said that Edouard André, a landscape gardener who worked in Versailles, intervened in the park of the Hostel-Noble.

From 1876 to 1936: The Lefebvre family owned the estate.

In 1936: The estate was sold to the Ministry of National Education which turned it into a boarding school of the "Youth Center". In 1945: It became a Housekeeping Center (former C.E.T) to teach young women: sewing, cooking and hairdressing. This center will then become mixed. From 1979 to 2008: It was made available to the FOEVEN: Federation of Education and Holidays National Education which made it a holiday accommodation center and became the owner from 2003.

In 2008 until today: Pascale and Philippe Devallée are acquiring it to create a reception area for individuals and professionals, classes discovered for schools and seminars or meetings for companies and associations. Supported by their Victorian son, they restore the 18-19th century building and structure the park of 5ha to make a welcoming and spacious site for all types of events.
