Brasserie Historique de l'Abbaye du Cateau

Established in the heart of an old Benedictine abbey, the abbey of Cateau historic brewery is now a listed site. It is located in the historic heart of the city, on the site of the former Abbey St. Andrew, around which is organized the city, enclosed within the walls. From both sides of the court still exist several buildings (stables ...) in which was located the first brewery which operated until 1926 and which produced 10,000 to 12,000 hectoliters. After 75 years of closure and many works, the brewery-malting Abbey Cateau reopens its doors to visitors! One can discover and taste the flagship of the brewery: the VIVAT beer. It is also possible to eat there every day except Monday.
