The former department store Albert Wenke and son built on the design of Josef Gočár in the years 1910-1911 for a profound cooperation with the business owner. It is a contemporary example of a modern department store and a valuable monument of modern European architecture before the First World War. Since 1947, it has been the seat of the city museum. There is a permanent exhibition of Josef Šima, Otakar Španiel and Josef Wagner. The museum organizes varied exhibitions and cultural events.
