Interested in cars? Then stop by Ferdinand's birth house. Ferdinand Porsche was born in 1875 in Vratislavice nad Nisou. His father was the owner of a plumbing company and the young Ferdinand often helped him out with the family business.
Long story short, Ferdinand was interested in electrical engineering and at the age of 18 he left his home country and went to study in Vienna. Then, he became the designer of several electric cars and even assembled the first hybrid car in 1898. In the museum you can find a replica of the Porsche 356 No.1, designed by Ferdinand Porsche together with his son Ferry.
Inside the museum: discover an interactive museum experience on engineering and technology. Along with a bit of historic information on the family, area, and about the automotive industry. You’ll definitely learn a thing or two about cars throughout the exhibition.
