Castle history
Krásný Dvůr was originally a villa. These days it looks very different though thanks to its transformation in the 18th century. It used to have a deer park too where the landscape park now lies. The castle also holds world war history. Nazi leaders settled in here during WWII and it was a holiday home of the Reich Foreign Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop.
Thankfully, since the 1950s it has been open to the public in the hands of the state. Over the years, the castle has been repaired and restored to its former glory. In 2001, the castle was even named a National Cultural Monument of the Czech Republic. Come and see this piece of history!
