The local museum of the town of Biograd na Moru is an independent and unique cultural institution in the Biograd region. Preserves valuable monumental heritage from the rich past of the Biograd coast and the surrounding area. It is located in the central part, on the very coast of Biograd, the former royal and crowned town, the capital of the Croatian state for folk rulers in the 11th century. The only building in which the Museum is located is a cultural monument. It was built on the ruins of medieval walls at the end of the 18th and early 19th centuries. For many years, the Court of Appeal was established for the Emperor and King of Francis Joseph in 1876.

The local museum Biograd na Moru has its own composition:

  • The archaeological collection
  • The collection "Sunken Ship of the Sixteenth Century"
  • Ethnographic collection
  • Historical department
  • A collection of art pictures.

We look forward to your visit!
